Bug Description

The most recent Kubuntu backports for 12.04 that upgraded from KDE SC 4.10.1 to 4.10.2 unistalled hundreds of packages including calligra, kdesudo, muon, ktorrent, ark, k3b, partition manager and many many more. Attached please find a screenshot of muon history filtered for packages removed for that day.

after running the following in a terminal you'll find a file called logs.tar.xz in your home directory, please attach it to the bug report

cd ~
mkdir logs
cd logs
cp -r /var/log/apt
cp /var/log/dpkg.log*
cd ..
tar -cf logs.tar logs
xz -9 logs.tar
rm -r logs

Attached please find log.tar.xz

Please note the time that I did the upgrade was around 4:45 am. Entries much before or after are the house cleaning that inspired doing the upgrade and after the failed upgrade there is a lot of actvity trying to recover the system.
