Bug Description

Binary package hint: kipi-plugins

I'm running Kubuntu 10.10, and kipi-plugins is version 1.4.0-0ubuntu2.

A first upload to Facebook using kipi-plugins and the <auto-create> option was successful. However, the drop-down list of albums remains empty (except for the <auto-create> option), despite attempts to refresh it, and any further attempts to upload photos merely result in them being added to the first album kipi-plugins created, not any subsequent new album I try and create.

This bug is registered in the KDE bugtracker: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=225174 I'm reporting it here simply to ensure that it's recognized as present in (K)ubuntu 10.10.

You should add the extra ppa from Philip and upgrade to kipi-plugins 1.9.0

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:philip5/extra

then create and add to /etc/apt/preferences.d/philip5-extra-ppa:
Package: *
Pin: release o=LP-PPA-philip5-extra
Pin-Priority: 400

Now, upgrade:
sudo apt-get install kipi-plugins=1.9.0-maverick~ppa1 kipi-plugins-common=1.9.0-maverick~ppa1

Issue is now solved!

Cannot speak for the PPA you refer to, but the issue is still present in 11.04 which has kipi-plugins 1.9.0 included (1.9.0-1ubuntu2).
