Bug Description

Please see my original and unaswered https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396976

From what I have read you now have to go to a Facebook plugins settings page to get a token. I cannot access the Facebook Kipiplugins page either: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1497917258471.2063050.1550316390&type=3 unauthorised. Is there something in a .config file I need to modify?

Yes obviously there are numerous other ways to post to Facebook but I like to keep our family's Kubuntu /Linux user experience free of at least permanent bugs, and so far so good over the last four years. It seems to me that i a plugin cannot function, say because of changes to Facebook and how or from which OSs it accepts posts from, it may be better not to present it as functional to more casual users.

Please advise any further information from me would be useful please?

Could this new policy for obtaining tokens to enable posting to Facebook be relevant?

https://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/2018/07/31/facebook-app-review-update/?ref=dev_banner

"What if I Don't Submit for Review?

In order to use Facebook Login in your app and access additional elements of a person's Facebook profile, you will need to submit your app for review. If your app is not approved or you don't submit for review, people will not be able to use Facebook Login in your app."
