Bug Description

Some details here : https://forum.kicad.info/t/erc-warning-it-says-that-pin-is-not-connected-while-pin-is-obviously-connected/16727/23

My ERC warns me about multiple "No connection" at pins that seem to be connected. My schematics and components are made on a 50mils grid, and the highlight net tool seem to detect the nets in question (so there is no "hole" in the nets)

I also tried to reload the symbols, rewire... But nothing changes and the warnings are always at the same locations.

You will find my schematics and the symbol library I use in a .zip archive in attachment.

My KiCad config:
Version: 5.1.2-f72e74a~84~ubuntu16.04.1, release build
Libraries:
    wxWidgets 3.0.2
    libcurl/7.47.0 OpenSSL/1.0.2g zlib/1.2.8 libidn/1.32 librtmp/2.3

Build Info:

    Boost: 1.58.0
    OpenCASCADE Community Edition: 6.8.0
    Curl: 7.47.0
    Compiler: GCC 5.4.0 with C++ ABI 1009

Didn't you state you are not allowed to share the project? Because the bugtracker is as public as the forum is. (It did even warn you about that when you signed in.)

I still had version 5.1.1 on my machine and that one gave an errormessage saying "An error was detected and automatically fixed" when i tried to open your project. Meaning something is definetly wrong with the project.

I am currently updating to 5.1.2 and will report back if that version also complains. If not then we have a regression here.

I had the permission to share it after all  ! (just the schematics)

I have this message sometimes, and sometimes not. Really weird.

Ok i get the same message when i open your project with version 5.1.2.
But it alone does not fix the problem. The file seems to contain references as if the module sheet is instantiated multiple times but it is not in the project you sent. If i run the annotation tool then (with the default settings meaning it preserves the existing annotation) then the prject is fixed other than the missing junction dots in the module sheet. (R10 and C15 as well as you having a power flag symbol on a net that is already powered.)

By the way you did not include the cache library and also not the project local symbol library table. Especially the former is very important for kicad. It is the only saveguard against changes to the library and should be considered to be part of the schematic file. (Without it you can end up with question marks for symbols if something changes in your libraries.)

For reference the fixed project after accepting the automatic fix plus a run of annotation.

Ok I will take a look. Thank you very much

I normally use the sym_lib_table file and I have the cache library. I just forgot to join it to the files.

Yeah, I just saw that... These pieces of information are not really a secret anyway and can be find elsewhere. But I answered too fast to it, with my email client, and it was clearly a mistake...

Ok my project is fixed.

I cannot understand the relation between this kind of issue and the annotation tool though... How do you explain it ?

It seems that the error message is also gone.

Thank you again for your precious help
