dimensions of imported dxf are wrong

The size of an simple imported DXF R12 document made in inkscape doesn't get imported right in pcbnew. in my example a shape with the width of 88 mm is only 3.456 mm wide when imported to pcbnew.

R12 DXF file made in inkscape with the shape to fit inside an altoids mints can. Dimensions shown in inkscape are 88.388 mm x 55.388 mm

I just opened the included dxf file with DraftSight and the width of the outline is indeed 3.456 so the issue appears to be with the dxf file created with Inkscape. This makes sense as 88/25.4=3.456.

Seems like somewhere along the conversion inches and millimeters are mixed up. Saving the inkscape document in 88 x 55 inches and opening it in pcbnew will give me the size in mm.
