pcbnew, 3D viewer: extension not appended exporting current view as a file

Only typed text used as filename, expected behavior: extension corresponding to selected file format automatically appended to filename.

I get either .jpg or .png depending on which menu item I choose on OSX. GTK-specific?

Possibly. I have no other OS except Linux Mint to check, but under Linux mint I have same issue on both computers where Kicad is installed.

This is a known issue with the gtk+ file dialog. If you don't set the extension in the file name, the gtk+ file dialog returns the file name without the default extension.
