Bug Description

If a new symbol is wanted to be placed in the schematic, "A" hotkey is pressed and the Choose Symbol window are immediately launched, but if the Place Symbol icon (from right side bar) is pressed, the Choose Symbol window is launched only if the another click is pressed in the schematic? Why this behavior? For a new user this is baffling. It is easier if the Choose Symbol window is launched immediately after the pushed of Place Symbol icon as then when "A" hotkey is pressed.

        Thanks a lot!

This behavior is correct and is the purpose of hotkeys. Hotkeys are not menu shortcuts. The menu shortcut for enabling the symbol tool is Shift+A.
