Bug Description

Some rendering bugs on Radeon R300, OpenGL 2.1 GLSL 1.20, Mesa 18.0.5 for version 01810111221+94cc1ef~66~ubuntu16.04.1. I think this has been reported earlier as well, but could not be found with reasonable keywords. This may be a wish list item for fixing, but just asking for a friend...

Bug 1342734 is the earlier one and this may not be reasonably fixable in KiCad code as it would be a workaround for a driver bug.
