Windows: 10-Pro, newest version (just all updated) x64bit

Got it!
I find the problem and how to fix it!
Problem was in AppData/Roaming/kicad/pcbnew file.
Moved file to desktop, restart KiCAD- all works back and KiCAD re-create this file.
Compared using Notepad++ seen differences as well.
Now it works!

@Sebastian, yes, this is likely because the two versions are sharing some settings (and fighting over them). Thanks for reporting back that you found the issue.

(In this particular case I think 5.1 has some defensive code to avoid the issue.)

V5.1?????? V5.0.0 is at the moment as stable, right?

Jeff Young (jeyjey) wrote :

That is correct, 5.0.0 is the most recent stable.

5.0.1 will be the next stable, to be released soon.

5.1.0 is probably 6 months out, give or take. The nightly builds are the current state of the 5.1.0 branch (although it's confusingly labelled as 6.0.0). You can run a nightly build to see what it looks like (or to help out finding bugs), but keep in mind that it is definitely not as stable as a stable release.

I work using nightly all the way...;-)

This issue is already fixed in 5.01
