Bug Description

Auto-pan in Eeschema is not usable due to the excessive speed of panning. The work-around I have to use is "Home" and then zoom in to the desired area.

Confirmed on Debian. Imported dxf using v5, fills correctly constrained. Saved file and opened with 5.1-dev and re-filled. Zoned now overflow edge-cuts (did not re-import dxf).

Fills are not correctly constrained by edge cuts with:

In case this matters, I'm running on a VM in VirtualBox. Host is Win 7.

The super-fast pan only occurs when placing a symbol, not when moving or copying a symbol, even though the "Preferences/General Options/Controls/Pan while moving object" box is checked. I tried running KiCAD on the Win7 host, and it behaves differently. It correctly autopans when placing a symbol, but it also does not auto-pan at all when moving or copying a symbol, even though the "Preferences/General Options/Controls/Pan while moving object" box is checked.

So it seems there are two bugs here?

#1 Super-fast auto-pan when placing symbols in Eeschema in Ubuntu.
#2 No autopan when moving or copy/moving symbols in Eeschema in either Ubuntu or Win7.

I believe that this is fixed in the new canvas. Autopan speed depends on how far into the autopan zone your mouse is.

If this is still problematic, please re-open
