Default size for kicad app too small?

In testing 5.0.0-rc3 on windows with no config I observe that the kicad app windows is small. Maybe we should resize it such that all the app icons are visible.

Yes not the size too small, but the icons too large. In my ("small") display the app windows needs 2/3 of the horizontal size to show all the icons.
I think the icon sizes have to be responsible with the monitor or respect the icons size in the configurations (that intent to be general in v5.1 milestone).

I don't think there is an issue with the size of the icons. They are fine. It is just that the we require a minimum x resolution of 1024 px and recomend a minimum of 1280 px.

Then it does not make sense to have a size of about 480 px in x. It simply makes odd impression to the first time user, when we do have enough space available.
