Bug Description

Use case : dragging (with 'Grab') one or more wires can sometimes leave the wires with weird angles.

Other Software (tm) has a "break wire" tool which splits a given segment in two orthogonal segments keeping the endpoints of the original seg. Then, the user can select the location of the new bend (similar to the normal Grab mode).

If you right-click on the wire, do you not get a break wire option?

Hi,
yes indeed (and I hadn't seen it at first) but it's not convenient : it only works if you can bring the cursor precisely on the wire, which is nearly impossible in many cases i.e. whenever the wire follows an odd slope that doesn't intersect grid points.

Just do it at the end of a wire.

Here, on 4.0.7, right-clicking on the end of a wire does not offer the "Break wire" option.

I'm going to set this request to allow tool options that are "close" to the wire on non-45° increments. That will give you the ability to break the wire even when you aren't exactly on the grid
