footprint editor : when tracing line, shortcut E does not work

os : windows 10 Famille 1607 (Windows 8 (build 9200), 64-bit edition reported by kicad)
kicad app: editeur d'empreinte
kicad version : 4.0.6 release build

occurence : systematique

how to :
1 - in editeur empreinte
2 - start a new trace
3 - push E key => nothing happens
if I right click and select "Editer" it works (french configuration)
