Bug Description

Users on the KiCad support forum are reporting this warning on 16.10 and Debian testing for 4.0.6 from the PPA

The same warning occurs on Arch since an update a few weeks ago. It's probably to do with the distro's WX packaging. In Arch's case, the wxpython package hasn't been rebuilt since 2015, whereas wxgtk was rebuilt in January.

On the other hand, this message should probably be a console message or something, as popping it every time is rather annoying.

@David, could you try to get the package version of wxpython3.0 and wxdgets3.0?

I think you can use something like:
dpkg -s <packagename> | grep '^Version:'

It's the same issue on Debian. This really should be pushed upstream to
Debian. They need to rebuild wxPython with the an abi compatible
compiler that they built wxWidgets with.
