I can't make it pan in GAL by moving a footprint at all. The option seems to work fine for the legacy canvas.

Nick, which revision do you use? Autopanning has been broken for several revisions, but now it should be fine. If no - I would like to know.

In my 7822 (from 08 march 2017, OpenGL, Win7/x64) it is always panning regardless of "Pan while moving object" ticked or not.

May be caused by the same problem: "Center and warp cursor on zoom" doesn't center regardless of state of checkbox.

It's still broken for me. When I say "broken" I mean that no matter what "Pan while moving object" is set to, it will always pan when in GAL mode.

In legacy, the setting works as described.
