Bug Description

On Manjaro Linux, running git version (2017-02-26 revision d6097cf1a)-master, release build;

I open Eeschema from the main window.

Firstly, Eeschema opens with a dialog saying "Part library '/usr/share/kicad/library/linear.lib' failed to load. Error:
 expected token in symbol definition in input/source
'/usr/share/kicad/library/linear.dcm'
line 664, offset 0"

After closing that, the first thing I do in Eeschema is push the "a" key, and the program (both windows) close. The terminal (which I launched it from) says "Segmentation fault (core dumped)".

The problem is caused by pcbnew kiway interface being not available in eeschema standalone mode.

I have just pushed a quickfix, so eeschema does not crash anymore, but it displays an ugly message. Certainly there is more to be done.

Thanks. I only really get time to work on this on the weekends lately, so I wasn't able to get it immediately. This whole area is still a work in progress - it will be cleaned up further.

I degraded the bug to 'Triaged', so it does not seem completely resolved.
