Wish: Page layout file in mils

It would be great to be able create schematic page layout file also in mils (in addition to mm)

(Being confined to mm is particularly odd when authoring a layout for a schematic, which is intrinsically in mils.)

I realize there are serious rounding issues, but we could fix Pcbnew's page layouts to mm (as they are now) and Eeschema's to mils (which would be a change).

There is too little information on what is really wanted and how it is supposed to word, additionally there is no version info for future reference.
