Bug Description
The following feature, if implemented, would tremendously speed
up board layout.
- this is more complicated but would
simplify the interface significantly. I'm talking about Altium style
(if they still use them, it's been a while since the last time I used
it) For example to place a via using this approach you would pres "P"
and then "V" or to place a track "P" and then "T" or to add a zone you
would press "A" and "Z" etc.
There are basic groups for the first layer of the shortcut which a lot of
objects use, such as Add, Place, Switch etc. It is easy to memorize
the shortcuts because each shortcut is intuitive and is alliterated
with the name of the action taken. Currently to access some functions
you need to go 3 or 4 levels deep in the context menu.

Honestly I'd really like this. We've got way too many commands to assign every one of them to a key, but it would be very nice if they could still be accessible. Works for Altium indeed, I quite liked it when I used it there.
