pcbnew - almost invisible colors on the layers' buttons

The window area where layers are listed has small buttons with colors on them. These colors are almost invisible due small size. Screenshot:

Due to how the layer widget is currently made this isn't particularly easy to fix on every platform.

Yes, I have also noticed this since the last handfull of months. It looks like the buttons border have widened. This issues is also seen on the app icons in the main kicad app.

I have attaced a screenshot as a reference.

I think the change is not kicad directly, but it might be wx or gtk that might have changed some default setting maybe?

I have wx 3.0.2 and 2.24.30 and have the issue too, kicad version does not seem to matter.

It might have happened with this update, but it has yet to be confirmed:

I have confirmed that the issues is also present if I downgrade to wxgtk 3.0.1.
