Bug Description
CvPcb is quite good at filtering across the libraries, but has a couple of blind spots.
The good news : CvPcb does filter by PinCount
The bad news : The user cannot provide a Pin Count, you can _only_ seed this from the SCH
The good news : CvPcb gives a nice footprint list sorted by PinCount and SubString
The bad news : CvPcb has no means to copy a footprint into the clipboard.
Workarounds: You can create a SCH with parts PinCount 1..N, and use that as a seed.
You can
* double click to copy Footprint into SCH,
* save/close CvPcb
* find then use 'E' on part you updated
* Select/Copy the footprint string from here
Notice how many mouse clicks and moves are needed here ?
All the hard work is done, just needs small suggested fixes of :
1) Allow user entry of PinCount number for filter
2) Support copy to clipboard of the highlighted Footprint name

I would expand 1) slightly, to become
1) Allow user entry of PinCount number, or PinCount range, for filter
The addition of range allows users to scan close-choices, that may have mounting holes, thermal vias, etc.
