DRC report to File crashes KiCad

[PCB Wiz]

Test sequence: Windows 4.0.2

New install of KiCad
Design loaded
DRC run, -> works ok, as expected

a) Manually Enter just a file name : DRCreport.txt
DRC Run crashes KiCad
Repeat above 3 lines, confirm crashes at same place. No file found.

hmm.. *thinks* unlikely that would get past testing, maybe it varies ?

b) restart and enter a full file path
c:\temp\DRCout.txt
that works ok
retry using [...] and create ProjName.rpt
that works ok
retry using just file name (as above)
this now works ?!

Completely Exit kiCad, restart again, and check a).
Crashes as before, this time.

Looks like the initial default path used, may have some corruption on a new install/fresh start, and that may be cleared/refreshed with either a full path, or a directory find ?
Should be easy to fix ?

Does not seem to matter if PCBnew is launched from Shell or Sch, same results.
ie 'Clean slate' and just a file name, crashes always.
