Wrong symbol is selected in place component selection window when multiple options are available

I created an LM317 symbol and saved it into the Texas library. I know there are several of those available in other libraries, but regardless it illustrates the bug. Now I go to EEschema and try to place the symbol. When I type "LM317" into the filter window I get several hits: one LM317 exact match and whole bunch of different permutations of LM317's in the Regul library and one in Texas library - the one that I created. I select one from the Texas library (I can see the correct symbol in the preview window) and hit OK (or just double click on it). However now I'm placing not the symbol I selected but the one from the Regul library.
