Bug Description
if you have an invisible text in footprint editor on the fab layer and the turn off the fab layer the invisible text is still showing.
one could argue that its because the invisible text render check-box is marked but this is just wrong.
primarily the text is of family fab and if fab is off so should the invisible text be.
when fab layer is off you cant select your invisible fab text, but even if you dont render your pads the masks are still selectable by an area select.
this is very inconsistent with the above
make layers that are off to be off invisible or not.
and if you dont render the pads the should not be able to be selectable by area select.

Agreed, it seems that "show hidden text" is resetting the visibility of things that shouldn't have been shown at all in the first place.
