courtyard ignored in drc

seems the drc is a bit shallow

Hmm, yes, JP implemented some courtyard DRC a few weeks ago, but I don't know how feature rich it is. If you feel this is fixed, we can probably mark it as fix comitted.

as far as i have noticed it works

checks also absence of court.yard

very good feature, important to make professional grade

I tried this in KiCad 4.0.7, but it doesn't seem to work. Has it been released in this version?

Some commits on master (e.g 0f0cb64a6) mention DRC for the courtyard layer, but as far as I can see these commits have not yet been merged into the 4.0 branch.

Will this be released in a 4.0 release?

To answer my own question: the commit introducing this functionality (b365f17e9) has not been merged into the 4.0 branch yet, so no, this functionality is not available in KiCad 4.0.7.

Courtyards are not supported in the 4 stable release and there are no
plans to back port it from the development branch. It will be available
in the stable 5 release.
