I cannot reproduce the problem here. You need to give more information (see [1]). Does it happen with every footprint/pad? If not, please provide the faulty footprint. Does it happen in the OpenGL view?
There is a bug in the GAL version when editing the pad dimensions. I appears to me that not every key stroke updates the pad view when changing the pad dimensions. However, if I move the cursor over the preview window, the preview window gets refreshed so there is definitely a difference in the preview window behavior between the GAL and legacy canvases. This works as expected in the legacy view. When either of the dimensions (X or Y) edit controls is empty, 0, or cannot be converted to a number, the preview is correct as all of these conditions are 0 which makes the preview window blank. I don't know how else you would show a 0 width or height pad.
Changing the size by keystroke seems too work fine now but when the value is 0 or not a number, the pad is still shown at it's last size which is different than the legacy canvas.
Hi Nicholas,
