Bug Description

GAL highlight net tool does not fire cross probe when a pad is clicked. I need this, I had added it to legacy pcbnew years ago and dearly miss it in GAL.

Would you please confirm that this only happens for you when the
footprint is locked? I did some testing and the only time I see the
behavior you described is when the footprint is locked. When the
footprint is unlocked, the cross probing behaves as expected.

In revision 6538 it never fires on an unlocked footprint's pad.

I have 3307 pads on this board, I hope that is not too many for it....

It is for me, and that's why this feature helps me stay sane.

It only happens for the 'highlight net' tool, I will fix it.

For the moment, when you select a pad (when highlight net tool is inactive), cross probing will work just fine.

Yes, I think this is covered by the highlighting changes I made a few months ago
