Bug Description
When creating or editing a page layout file I ran into the following problem:
The size of most text elements is defined using the "General Options" tab, but some items shall be smaller than the default. When the text height is modified using the "Item Properties" tab, the changes are applied and displayed correctly. Examining the page layout file with a text editor shows that the changes are not written to the file.
This happens with existing page layout files or newly created ones.

<Update>
All of the above also applies to the 32 Bit Windows version (KiCad/pl_editor version 4.0.1-stable release build) on a Windows 7 installation.
</Update>
Attached is the page layout file that I currently work on. The text elements that should be modified are the letters and numbers on the borders. These should be 1.5 mm instead of the default 2 mm as defined on the "Global Options" tab.
