Bug Description

Based on this forum entry: https://forum.kicad.info/t/hierarchy-and-net-name-display/283

If I have multiple pieces of a hierarchical sheet, the net names in PCBnew are the ones used in the hierarchical sheet, not the net name on the top level sheet. This is confusing, because this way I have several nets called the same name, but not connected to each other.
Even though on the top level sheet I associated different names to the hierarchical sheets' pins, so I could tell which one is which, the net names are still incorrect.

My suggestion is to use the net name used on the top level sheet OR use the whole name of the net like this: 'Subsheet1/Netname1'.
I would prefer the first one.

Application: pcbnew
Version: 4.0.1-stable release build
wxWidgets: Version 3.0.2 (debug,wchar_t,compiler with C++ ABI 1009,GCC 5.2.0,wx containers,compatible with 2.8)
Platform: Windows 8 (build 9200), 64-bit edition, 64 bit, Little endian, wxMSW
Boost version: 1.57.0

Net names shown on tracks and pads are the short net names.
The full net name is shown on the message panel on the bottom of the screen, when clicking on a pad or a track.

Most of time there is no room to display the full net name on pads and tracks, therefore only the short net name is displayed

Use root net label or hierarchical label is a matter of taste.

As you can see on the screenshots, the net names shown on the tracks and pads are the same. Don't you think thats confusing? Maybe there should be an option for this, so everyone can decide what they want to see.

I have the same problem, one board and place the same sheet 4 times because I have 4 channels to read, but when I try do draw the PCB, is like the 4 channels are curt circuited together.

In theory they have Local and Global labels, but work likes everything is global.
