Bug Description
As followup to bug 1427494 here are a number of additional fixes for the gEDA footprint reader. As far as I can see this makes gEDA footprints fully usable, so conversion of them is no longer neccessary.
Attached a graphical comparison:
- Right side: footprint rendered in gEDA/pcb.
- Left side, top: previous rendering. Patch for fixing pin numbers already applied.
- Left side, middle: rendering with the patches.
- Left side, bottom: a similar footprint from the KiCad library.
Changes are explained in detail in the commit messages and code comments. I hope I got it right.
Now, if pcbnew could render less eye straining, similar to gEDA/pcb, light background, flat colors, ... :-)
