I just got bit by this as well building from from the latest msys2
environment. It appears to be due to the latest msys2 upgrade which is
now using gcc 5.2. It may require downgrading the entire msys/mingw
stack to the gcc 4.9.1 builds. Bleeding on the edge can be dangerous.

Just to weigh in: I get a similar message under Arch Linux when opening PcbNew (wxPython seems to have been compiled with a different ABI). However, the Arch wxgtk package has patched this check to raise a warning rather than a fatal error:

https://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/plain/trunk/make-abicheck-non-fatal.patch?h=packages/wxgtk

I just ignore the error and as far as I can tell it all works OK.

Rebuilding wxpython and wxwidgets fixed the ABI issues on my dev system, so I now have a newer package that works. But I will need to get to some proper internet connection before I can upload a fixed package.
