Bug Description

By default, if no configuration is provided, identity_uri and auth_uri are set to None, and therefore a warning is displayed indicating that the older other options are being used instead, and that this is deprecated.

It would be nicer to only warn the user if deliberately misconfigured using the old options. Having a warning in the "out-of-the-box" mode is not nice.

I'm not sure what we can do about this.

Really auth_host, auth_port and auth_protocol should never have had default values. Assuming localhost if nothing else is set is dumb even if it means you always need to put in config values.

However given that they did have those values and we can't break compatibility going forward all new options have to be added in a way that they are turned on by config even though the original methods are being removed.

I think all we can do is wait till we have the courage to go for a breaking 2.0
