Bug Description
KDocker does not run on startup and save the previous settings for docked applications. It's kind of pointless to have to keep re-docking the same applications every time you log off/on your computer. Even when you select the 'sticky' option, it doesn't stay in the dock after you log off/on, so I'm not really sure what the 'sticky' option is supposed to do.
> KDocker does not run on startup and save the previous settings for docked applications.
It's not supposed to. You are supposed to run startup application using KDocker. Pretty much every desktop has a way to start applications. KDocker can be used as a launcher to start other applications and auto doc them. For more information about how this works please see:
KDocker -h
Also, https:/ /bugs.launchpad .net/kdocker/ +bug/795304 will be useful. Depending on your desktop you typically drop a shell script into an auto run at startup directory and you would set it up to have KDocker run, detect, and auto dock the launched application.
If you are having problems with the desktop itself saving open applications and KDocker not running when re-logging. But it is running the applications themselves that's an issue with the desktop you're using and something you'll need to bring up with them.
> Even when you select the 'sticky' option, it doesn't stay in the dock after you log off/on
The sticky option keeps it on all desktops. It has nothing to do with logging in or off.
