Bug Description

Binary package hint: kate

The syntax highlighting for literal numbers with underscores is not working properly. Only the first grouping of digits is highlighted. For example if one types in 50_000 only the 50 is highlighted. The whole number should be highlighted. I will attach a screenshot to make this more clear.

Version: 3.5.6-0ubuntu1

Still a problem with kate 3.1.1. This needs to be reported upstream at bugs.kde.org, and the link to that report linked here.

I report a similar problem.
A variable name $_config is not highlighted correctly, as the parser separates "$_" and "config".

This is still a problem. I'm running the latest RC of Kubuntu 10.10 with Kate version 4:4.5.1-0ubuntu3. I have attached a screenshot of the problem.

Just an idea. Maybe, the file that has to be modified is:

/usr/share/kde4/apps/katepart/syntax/perl.xml

I am not able modifying it.
