Windows go under panel in extended desktop mode

intel gm965 chipset&graphics
to reproduce:
KDE 4.2beta2 (4.1.85)
connect external monitor 1280x1024
xrandr --output LVDS --auto --rotate normal --pos 0x0 --output VGA --auto --right-of LVDS
on my laptop screen the window goes under the panel when i maximize it. see screenshot.
on external screen everything is ok.
