KDE 4.2 menu doesn't have reboot/shutdown

Summary explains it. I don't have a shutdown or reboot button in my kde 4.2 menu (running Kubuntu 8.10)

I've attached a picture. I think this happened after I added the widget that has the shutdown button. Since then I've removed it and still nothing. Frustrating having to log out to shut down computer. Thanks all

Have you tried changing the menu to the "classic" menu, then switching it back?

I'm a native Gnome user so I'm not quite sure how to do that. Can you tell me and I'll try? thanks a lot

Figured it out, same problem though even after switching from classic back to the new one

This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. For future reference you might be interested to know that a lot of applications have bug reporting functionality built in to them. This can be accessed via the Report a Problem option in the Help menu for the application with which you are having an issue. Sorry I have since abandoned KDE because of bugs so I can't provide any more information. I'm pretty sure that it wasn't a bug and it was just be being unfamiliar with KDE (I'm a native gnome user). So, I'm going to mark this as invalid unless someone else has seen the same problem. Thanks for the help

I'm not getting the problem with kubuntu-desktop installed on top of Ubuntu....
