Bug Description

I have Kubuntu 8.10 installed with KDE 4.2.2 from kubuntu-members-kde4 PPA. Previously, it were KDE versions from 4.1.0 to 4.2.0. The bug described below persisted across all of them. Some time ago, being a native Russian speaker, I have enabled support for Cyrillic via System Settings->Regional & Language->Install New Language->Add Language. Russian language is listed as secondary, primary is US English. Ever since, MIME types in various KDE applications (e.g. KMail, Dolphin) are being displayed in Russian. KDE and System languages selected are English US. There seems to be no way to get rid of these Russian MIME type labels. I have tried removing Russian from the list of supported languages and even uninstalling all Russian language support completely. That changes nothing, MIME types are still displayed in Russian.
