Bug Description
Hello,
I use kazam 1.4.5 in Ubuntu 20.04.
I can save a screencast without problem with or without automatic record.
The problem is when :
- I start a record
- I "re-open" kazam (with a shortcut), it opens the main application menu
- I close the main application menu (with the x in the top right hand corner)
--> no more kazam and no screencast file
When I "re-open" kazam it is the same process, so it should be aware of the pending recording and ask a quit confirmation to avoid the data loss.
I understand the expected behaviour is not to "re-open" kazam and access to the main menu during recording but to use the integrated small menu which only permits to pause or end the recording.
But after a long tiring record you may forget the small kazam recording icon and use the big kazam favorite icon instead and ... lose all you long tiring work. Sad.
Thanks for the good job.
Thanks. I have made a change in my fork here to warn when exiting while the recording is still on... /github. com/niknah/ kazam/commit/ 0fe179ef9cfe528 0aeeef1166879e0 50d1151f8b
