I can't capture my microphone in ubuntu 20.04 I just update from ubnuntu 18.04

Hi. I have the same problem. I used Kazam on Xubuntu 18.04 for some time to record screencasts for my classes. From memory, it was Kazam 1.3.? version (not sure). I have a Lenovo laptop.

Recently I updated from XUbuntu 18.04 to 20.04 (by ubuntu distribution upgrade process) and kazam stopped to record sound. Now I have kazam 1.4.5.

In the preferences dialog, "Speakers" shows empty combobox and "Microphone" shows only one option "Unknown".

To investigate this, I burned two installations of XUbuntu, versions 18.04 and 20.04, obtained from torrent. Here are my findings:

1) I booted 18.04 in "Try without install" mode.
On a Terminal (no other commands): sudo apt install kazam
Kazam 1.4.5 installed, preferences say:
  Speakers: Monitor of Build-in Audio Analog Stereo
  Microphone: Build-in Audio Analog Stereo
These were the only options on each combo box.
Tested kazam, records video, but no sound.
While kazam is recording, pavucontrol says (Recording tab) that no applications are recording.
Pavucontrol shows on Input Devices tab:
  Build-in Audio Analog Stereo
  (bar showing activity for internal microphone)

2) Same process with XUbuntu 20.04:
Boot with "Try without install" mode.
On a Terminal (no other commands): sudo apt install kazam
Kazam 1.4.5 installed, preferences say:
  Speakers:
  Microphone: Unknown
(no option for Speakers, only option for Microphone)
Pavucontrol shows on Input Devices tab:
  Monitor of Build-in Audio Analog Stereo
  (bar without sound)
  Build-in Audio Analog Stereo
  (bar showing activity for internal microphone)
Pavucrontrol shows on Record tab says "No application is currently recording audio." during kazam record.

For me kazam is not working (with audio) on xubuntu 18.04 neither 20.04. :-(
