Bug Description

I recorded my desktop in full screen for more than 10 minutes and no leak appeared then I recorded Minecraft in full screen mode for no more than 30 seconds and a wild leak appeared, more than 400 Mb of shared memory where being used and the number was increasing.

What's the different between those two recordings that makes leak appear? I thought it could be the sound, so I recorded while playing some music and it didn't produce any leak :S

Thanks!

Hi, thanks for your report. Can you provide more info about which version of Kazam are you running? If you run Kazam with --debug switch and attach the output here it would be appreciated.

Also, did you close Kazam and restart it in between the recordings?

It seems that these leaks happen outside Kazam in GStreamer probably. The VP8 leak was confirmed.

Yes, I tried restarting Kazam and then recording again and the leak appeared. Recording using VP8 doesn't produce leak on my computer, but the recorded video is full of bugs, only the first 7 seconds are normal, then video freezes and audio sometimes dissappear and sometimes it doesn't, so it's a strange thing.

Using AVI also makes leak (and an en...
