Bug Description
Handing out sudo on start is a bit much.
It either ought to get a more subtle (policykit) way to get needed rights or at the very least only ask for the sudo password when doing something that actually needs it. I think it ought not be actually needed since we manage to connect/disconnect to the network without admin rights.

Ya, I plan on implementing PolicyKit, but I think you already knew that :)
