Bug Description

Hardware:
Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-218L dvd rewriter
Intel Core2 Quad Q6700 Processor
4.046GB Ram
Software - Operating system
Linux3.13.0-44-lowlatency(x86_64)
Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
GNU C compiler verrsion 4.8.2
XFCE 4

Problem:
When backing up a DVD movie, in this case, specifically "Star Trek", K9copy produces a 316.xx MB iso file. When I go to burn the image, both K3B, and Brasero complain that the blank DVD is too small, and to insert a Blue Ray blank media disk. This is with a blank dual layer dvd in the rewriter. Drasero claims that it will create a 13.2GB image. There were 4 read errors generated when copying the disk. I tired creating a new image with K8copy, a second time and got the same results, including the read errors. The dvd is clean, and plays fine.
