Bug Description

Hi All,

In on specific VNF use-case, VNF would like to have OAM interface connected to Host Linux Bridge along with all other interfaces connected to vRouter. This LP is open validating “Attach tap interface to Linux Bridge” functionality which is already there, and no code change is required. The primary goal is to include this in QA to make sure in all Contrail SW releases support this and initial POC conducted in the lab.

Steps used in lab:
manual vport “key” configuration

Steps:
- create neutron port with Port bindings keys
vnic_type: bridge
vif_details: {“bridge_name”: “linux bridge name”}
vif_type: bridge
- create VM confgurint port_id
openstack server create --flavor 1 --image tc --nic port-id=“UUID”

Best Regards,
Q

Hi Jeba,

Our provisioning code takes care of bringing up the undercloud only. Subsequent commands/tasks to be executed as part of over-cloud are not done as part of provisioning. This is supposed to be managed by user manually or thru scripts.

Thanks,

Abhay

Marc,

We reviewed this and as this need provisioning support, re-assigned to Abhay for further assignment. We will add a test once we have provisioning changes available.

Thanks,
Jeba
