[2.7 rc2] can't deploy k8s-based model re-using cloud controller

MAAS-based cloud.
Adding k8s into running controller.

k8s substrate added as cloud "k8s1" with storage provisioned
by the existing "ceph-xfs" storage class.
ubuntu@infra1:~/k8s-config$ juju add-model kubeflow1 k8s1
Added 'kubeflow1' model on k8s1/default with credential 'k8s1' for user 'admin'

ubuntu@infra1:~/k8s-config$ juju deploy ./config/bundle-kubeflow.yaml
ERROR space with ID "1" not found (not found)

ubuntu@infra1:~/k8s-config$ juju status

As a thought, is the issue that we are copying the spaces from the controller model, even if the new model isnt the same cloud.

I tested, LXD controller <- microk8s; IaaS controller <- Azure CK; IaaS controller <- AWS CK.
They are all working, so I think it should be just maas and not related with CaaS.
