Bug Description
This is with 2.0.2.
I use add-user to add a user to my controller. It says this:
https:/
I can send that command to someone, but it's not obvious what they need to do to connect to the controller in the first place. There is no information about what the IP address, etc of the controller is.
I'm not sure where to get that info to send to someone. Should I send them my controllers.yaml? I'm sure I can google it and figure it out but I'm tired and limited on time and don't want to have to do that.
The output of add-user should be more helpful in that direction.
@Jason,
The registration string Juju supplied encodes the addresses of the controller. In other words, as long as newly added user is on a network that can address the controller, they can run the register command.
And if the controller is internet accessible, they can do it from "anywhere" in the world \o/
I added a docs issue to make this fact most obvious: https:/ /github. com/juju/ docs/issues/ 1621
'add-user' command output with registration string will benefit from stating this explicitly too.
