Bug Description

TestOpenWithSNIHostNameEmptyCert test fails intermittently.

As seen here:
http://reports.vapour.ws/releases/issue/5804df8d749a5666b4bb63aa

Although the console log includes certificate errors, the actual failure appears to be a string that violated its assertion.

apiclient_test.go:230:
    c.Check(cfg.Location.String(), gc.Equals, expect.location)
... obtained string = "wss://foo.com:1234/api"
... expected string = "wss://0.1.2.3:1234/api"

This failure bears a striking resemblance to bug #1634158, but is for a different test case.
