Once you install it, you can open a task list based on "All pending" filter.

In a nutshell, you can create and save your own filters in Mantis and reference then from Mylyn.

There's an article at http://www.jquantlib.org/index.php/Using_Eclipse_plugin_for_Mantis (orphaned article) which is good enough.

But, at the moment, the plugin does not work very well with Mantis 1.2.0, so we decided to remove for the time being.
