There should be an option for the "Vocal" instrument that will enable a feature called "ducking", i.e. when the person speaks, the volume level of the other instruments temporarily dip while the person is talking. When the person stops talking, the volume level of the instruments return to normal. This is essential for DJ's who occasionally speak over music, for film narrators, and for podcasters who occasionally speak over their theme music. I'm sure this is a limitation of gstreamer rather than Jokosher, though maybe I'm wrong.

This would be a really cool feature to have, since podcasters are an important target group for Jokosher.
Ducking is nothing more than a compressor on the music, but the compressor is also fed the vocal through a side-chain, so that when a person speaks,
the compressor will kick in and lower the volume of the music.
I'm not sure how this would be done in gstreamer, but I definitely think it's possible.
A simpler option would be to just lower the volume of the music by a constant amount whenever there is something happening in the vocal track,
but it's not as cool as the first option, nor as flexible.
