create project fails on debian ppc

As seen here (http://www.jokosher.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=697) Jokosher on debian sid ppc cannot create new projects. Every attempt simply says:

"Unable to create project.

Could not initialize project."

like boutil from the forum, jokosher -d from the commandline gets us:
