sound recorder does not work properly

Bug Description
Sound recorder is recording but plays back some times faster.
I used a jokosher application with the same result.
I'm using a webcam as audio input.
Ubuntu is working in a system in which windows XP is also working.
I'm a new user of ubuntu around one month.
During usage once I found the playback worked properly but
I don't understand how it broke down again.
