recorded audio plays too fast

Bug Description

If I record a clip of music or my voice or whatever, then click play, it all plays at lightning speed. (A 10-second piece plays in roughly a second.) If the track is too short it can be hard to tell that it even played anything at all.

Could the sample rate affect this? Is there something not right with the playback device or its settings? Is there more info I could give that might be of help?

Tnx for any help.

Can you please test this again with Jokosher 0.11, from jokosher.org/download (it is also available in the Jaunty repos now).
If the bug is still there, I can give you instructions to get detailed debug info which should let us figure out where the problem lies.
Thanks.

Thanks, I have tested it with Jokosher 0.11...

It seems like adding a sound file to a project works just fine. But recordings seem to be what are not working. I have not made a recording using 0.11 (they were all from old projects), should I try that? (I can't do it right at this moment.)

Do you still have the project from the old version which played too fast? If it something to do with the sample rate or other paramters of your sound card I would expect that the file you recorded has this strange fast-playing audio in it. When you record the audio is stored in <project-name>/audio/.

If you find the fast playing file in your old project you can test to see if it still plays to fast in Jokosher.
Otherwise I would suggest you try to record again using 0.11.1 (yes we released another bug fix version last week) and see if you can reproduce this problem.
